Presenting the AIR MAIL
Hudson Street Newsstand

Our first physical footprint in New York is here, offering
coffee, books, magazines, gifts, and more …

“I know that it’s slightly nutty for a digital enterprise to open a newsstand … but despite the doldrums the print business is in, we still love magazines. And books and great coffee!”

—Graydon Carter, Founder of AIR MAIL

We’re thrilled to announce the opening of our first shop in New York City!

We hope the AIR MAIL Newsstand, located in the heart of Manhattan’s West Village, will serve as a gathering place for our local and global readers. With everything from a coffee bar—operated by our longtime partner Flying Coffee—to a library table and a cobblestone courtyard in back, consider this your new neighborhood coffee shop, magazine store, and haven for discerning shoppers, open daily from 8 A.M. to 7 P.M.

Visit us to discover items from our rotating selection of goods and gifts, specially chosen by our editors. The newsstand also features a selection of our favorite magazines and publications, curated by Sandeep Garg of Shreeji Newsagents, AIR MAIL’s London outpost on Chiltern Street.

In the back of the store, a small, themed selection of books will rotate seasonally, scrupulously curated by our Co-Editors, Graydon Carter and Alessandra Stanley, and Deputy Editor Julia Vitale. The first collection includes 100 titles under the heading “Women’s Classics, Past and Present.”

We also look forward to hosting special events and programming in the space, such as author talks and book signings. The first, scheduled for June, will feature AIR MAIL Writer at Large Lili Anolik in conversation with the actor Griffin Dunne about his forthcoming family memoir, The Friday Afternoon Club.

And last but not least, the store will be stock-full of AIR MAIL merchandise. Stop by for store-exclusive hats, totes, blankets, and more.

We look forward to giving you the grand tour!

Cheers,

The AIR MAIL Editors
